Campaigns Community & Creator Guidelines

Last Updated: September 26, 2024

Welcome to Campaigns! Our platform is built on the principles of collaboration, creativity, and community. To ensure a positive experience for all members, we've established the following guidelines:

1. Respect and Openness

  1. Diverse Voices Welcome: We encourage creators and brands to share diverse perspectives, stories, and experiences. Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other personal characteristic will not be tolerated.
  2. Positive Engagement: While disagreements and debates are natural, they should be approached with respect and understanding. Avoid using aggressive, derogatory, or inflammatory language. Instead, aim for constructive discussions.
  3. No Tolerance for Hate: Any content that promotes, violence, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on attributes like race, religion, gender, or nationality is strictly prohibited.
  4. Cultural Sensitivity: Recognize and respect cultural differences. What might be acceptable in one culture might be offensive in another. Always strive to be considerate and understanding of these nuances.
  5. Accessibility: We encourage creators to think about accessibility when designing campaigns. This includes considering color contrasts for those with visual impairments, providing text alternatives for images, or closed captions for videos.
  6. Protecting Privacy: Respect the privacy of others. Do not share personal information without consent, and always be cautious when discussing sensitive topics.

2. Authenticity and Integrity

  1. Genuine Representation: Creators and brands are encouraged to present themselves honestly. This means no misleading information, fake profiles, or misrepresentation of one's identity or intentions.
  2. Original Content: We value originality. Creators should ensure that the content they post is their own or they have the necessary permissions to use it. Plagiarism, copying, or reposting without giving proper credit is not acceptable.
  3. Transparent Collaborations: If a campaign is the result of a collaboration between a creator and a brand or another creator, this should be clearly stated. Any form of endorsement should be transparently communicated to the audience.
  4. Integrity in Interactions: Engage with others in a manner that is honest and respectful. Avoid manipulative tactics, baiting, or any behavior intended to deceive or take advantage of others.
  5. Clear Financial Transactions: When dealing with tokens, endorsements, or any financial aspects on Campaigns, ensure clarity and honesty. Hidden fees, unclear token distributions, or misleading financial promises can erode trust and are against our guidelines.

3. Safe and Appropriate Content

  1. Age-Appropriate Material: All content shared on Campaigns should be suitable for a general audience. Explicit, adult, or any content that's not suitable for users under 18 should be avoided.
  2. No Harmful or Dangerous Acts: Content that promotes harmful, dangerous, or destructive behavior, including self-harm, substance abuse, or violence, is strictly prohibited.
  3. Respect Privacy: Do not share private or confidential information without consent. This includes, but is not limited to, personal addresses, phone numbers, and private conversations.
  4. Avoid Sensitive Topics: Be cautious when discussing topics that might be considered sensitive, controversial, or triggering. This includes matters related to political conflicts, religious disputes, and other potentially divisive subjects.
  5. No Graphic or Disturbing Content: Avoid sharing content that is graphic, violent, or might be disturbing to viewers, including graphic images, videos, or descriptions.
  6. Commercial and Promotional Content: While Campaigns is a platform for collaboration and promotion, ensure that any commercial content is transparent, honest, and not overly spammy or aggressive.
  7. Report and Flag: If you come across content that violates our guidelines or seems suspicious, use the reporting tools provided. We rely on our community to help keep Campaigns a safe and enjoyable space for all.

4. Collaboration and Endorsement

  1. Transparent Collaborations: When creators and brands collaborate on a campaign, all parties involved should be transparent about the nature of their partnership. It should be clear to the audience when content is the result of a brand endorsement or collaboration.
  2. Authentic Endorsements: Brands should only endorse campaigns that align with their values and standards. Endorsements should be genuine and not solely based on monetary incentives.
  3. Respectful Interactions: While collaborating, all parties should maintain a level of respect and professionalism. Differences in opinions or creative visions should be addressed constructively.
  4. Use of Brand Assets: Creators should ensure they have the right permissions to use a brand's name, logo, or other intellectual properties. Unauthorized use can lead to disputes and potential legal actions. Please see the Creator Guidelines below.

5. Financial Integrity

Ensuring trust and transparency in all financial dealings is paramount to maintaining the credibility of the Campaigns platform. Both creators and brands should adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Transparent Transactions: All financial transactions, whether they involve tokens or any other monetary dealings, should be conducted transparently. Any hidden fees, undisclosed costs, or misleading financial practices are strictly prohibited.
  2. Adherence to Payment Terms: Both creators and brands should strictly adhere to the payment terms set out by Campaigns. This includes timely payments, respecting revenue-sharing agreements, and understanding any associated fees.
  3. No Misrepresentation: Creators and brands should not misrepresent the cost of campaigns, the potential earnings, or any other financial aspect. This includes inflating numbers, hiding costs, or making false promises about financial outcomes.
  4. Refund and Cancellation Policies: It's essential to be aware of and respect the refund and cancellation policies set by Campaigns. Any attempts to circumvent these policies or deceive users regarding refunds are not allowed.
  5. Responsible Token Use: Tokens are a vital part of the Campaigns ecosystem. Creators and brands should use tokens responsibly, ensuring they are allocated appropriately for campaigns and not used misleadingly to inflate engagement or manipulate campaign outcomes.
  6. Reporting Discrepancies: If a creator or brand notices any discrepancies in token allocations or any other financial matter, they should promptly report it to Campaigns' support team. This ensures that any potential issues are addressed quickly and maintains the platform's financial integrity.
  7. Avoiding Financial Conflicts: To maintain trust, creators and brands should avoid any financial conflicts of interest. This includes not promoting campaigns where they might have a hidden financial stake or not disclosing any financial relationships that could influence campaign outcomes.

6. Feedback and Reporting

  • Open Dialogue: Campaigns encourages an open dialogue between its users. If you have suggestions, concerns, or feedback about the platform, campaigns, or any interactions, we urge you to share them with us. Your insights help us improve and create a better experience for everyone.
  • Reporting Inappropriate Content: If you come across content that violates our Community Guidelines or seems suspicious, please report it immediately. We have a dedicated team that reviews these reports and takes appropriate action. Your vigilance helps us maintain a safe and respectful environment.
  • Dispute Resolution: In the event of disagreements or disputes between creators and brands, or between users, we recommend first trying to resolve the issue amicably through direct communication. If a resolution cannot be reached, Campaigns offers a mediation process to assist. Details of this process can be found in our Dispute Resolution Policy.
  • Timely Response: We aim to address all feedback, reports, and concerns in a timely manner. While we prioritize urgent matters, please be patient as we work to ensure every issue is handled with care and thoroughness.
  • Continuous Improvement: We value feedback not just for addressing immediate concerns but also as a tool for continuous improvement. Regularly, we assess the feedback and reports we receive to identify trends, potential areas of improvement, and to innovate on our platform's features and policies.
  • Confidentiality: All reports and feedback are treated with confidentiality. We respect the privacy of our users and ensure that details of reports, especially those of a sensitive nature, are not disclosed without necessary cause.

7. Continuous Learning

  1. Evolving Guidelines: As the digital landscape and our community grow and change, so will our guidelines. We're committed to regularly updating our Community Guidelines to reflect new learnings, feedback from our users, and the evolving nature of online interactions.
  2. Educational Resources: Campaigns will periodically provide resources, articles, webinars, and tutorials to help creators and brands understand best practices, emerging trends, and how to navigate challenges in the digital space.
  3. User Feedback Loop: We value the insights and experiences of our community. Users are encouraged to share their experiences, challenges, and learnings with us. This feedback loop helps us understand the needs of our community better and adapt accordingly.
  4. Platform Updates: To support continuous learning, we'll regularly roll out platform updates, new features, and tools based on user feedback, industry trends, and our own research. We'll ensure that users are informed and educated about these updates.
  5. Community Forums: Campaigns may host forums, Q&A sessions, or community meetups where users can discuss their experiences, share knowledge, and learn from one another. These events foster a sense of community and collective growth.

8. Creator-Specific Guidelines

8.1. Content Creation and Brand Collaboration:
  • Originality: Always strive to produce original content. Avoid copying or plagiarizing from other creators or sources.
  • Brand Assets: When collaborating with a brand, ensure you have the right permissions to use their name, logo, or other intellectual properties. Even if a brand provides public access to their assets, always adhere to their usage guidelines.
  • Transparency: Clearly disclose any affiliations, partnerships, or sponsorships in your campaigns. This helps maintain trust with your audience.
8.2. Token Management:
  • Token Allocation: Be prudent in allocating tokens for your campaigns. Ensure that the number of tokens set as rewards aligns with the campaign's budget.

8.4. Endorsements and Affiliations:
  • Clear Disclosure: If your campaign is endorsed by a brand or if you have any affiliations, clearly disclose this to your audience. This ensures transparency and builds trust.

  • Feedback Receptiveness: Embrace feedback from your audience and the Campaigns platform. Use it as an opportunity to refine your content and approach.
